Powerful low-speed, liquid cooled engine is engineered to run at only 1800 rpm for a substantially quieter generator, consuming less fuel and giving both the engine and alternator a longer life. Packs more power into a smaller footprint than air-cooled models.
Generac's Nexus™ Controller is the most comprehensive available. The dual line, tri-lingual LCD display allows for easy monitoring and management of generator functions.
Quiet-Test™ mode for a weekly self-test that runs quieter than other brands. Patented, programmable feature validates proper operation. Runs at lower RPM for reduced noise, less fuel consumption, and fewer emissions.
Standard aluminum, all-weather enclosure provides the ultimate protection from the elements. Aluminum’s corrosion resistance prolongs the life of your generator and is recommended for salt-air, coastal locations.
Clean burning, continuous fuel choice of LP or natural gas.
Neutral styling, color and small footprint fits unobtrusively into landscaping.
What is the difference between an automatic air-cooled generator and an automatic liquid-cooled generator?
The engines! Air-cooled generators come with engines that use fans to force air across the engine for cooling, while liquid-cooled generators use enclosed radiator systems for cooling, similar to an automobile. Generally, liquid-cooled engines are used on larger kW generators due to the larger engines required for the higher power output. Generac Liquid Cooled Generators start at 22 kw. They offer Quieter operation and longer service life.
NEXUS CONTROLLER FEATURES
The new Nexus controller for liquid-cooled generators (22-150 kW) not only includes upgraded features available in the original controller, but also includes several new features, making it the most comprehensive air-cooled controller available.
External common fault alarm
Allows for a connection to drive a common alarm if any shutdown for the generator occurs (i.e., security system, home automation integration)
Wiring error
Gives indication if transfer switch is connected incorrectly without allowing board damage
Battery sentinel
Monitors the battery to indicate that the battery is going to fail or if it has failed
Generator high voltage shutdown
Shuts down generator at preset levels to avoid high voltage damage to appliances
Generator low voltage shutdown
Shuts down generator at preset levels when voltage dips too low
Internal fault shutdown
Shuts down generator in event of controller failure
Master Nexus Controller includes voltage regulator, battery charger and engine controller
+/-1% voltage regulation, smart charging battery system where output voltage is dependent upon ambient temperature and only charges the system when needed
now available on all models:

Provides accurate means of tracking both scheduled and unscheduled run time events that could effect maintenance, service and product life.
Run log
Maintains readings of run time in exercise cycles and use related to outages for improved accuracy in scheduling maintenance and determining product life.
Set exercise via display
Simple, easy-to-use control set-up provides the owner the option of at will setting/ changing exercise rather than total reliance of Service Contractor.
Engine hours display
Provides accurate run times to help assure proper maintenance intervals are maintained.
RPM and frequency displays
Hastens service diagnosis and provides immediate operation data at installation.
Hours under load
Provides insight into the consistency/quality of grid power input essential for adjusting maintenance intervals to actual hours rather than a time period.
Low fuel pressure
Helps to assure correct installation of fuel source at start-up

What’s the advantage of an aluminum enclosure?
In addition to its sturdy galvanneal steel enclosure with RhinoCoat, Generac is one of the few companies to offer premium aluminum enclosures for its residential standby generators. Aluminum enclosures are naturally rust and corrosion resistant. For salt air or high humidity conditions, aluminum is highly recommended to ensure decades of worry free service.
Why should I buy an automatic standby generator instead of a portable generator?
During a utility power outage, an automatic standby generator provides numerous advantages over a portable generator:
The American Red Cross recommends permanently installed standby generators as a safer way to provide backup power to a home than a portable generator.
With an automatic standby generator properly installed outside, your home is protected from deadly carbon monoxide poisoning that is a much greater risk with portable generators.
Running on the home’s natural gas or LP fuel supply, it is less expensive to run than gasoline and does not need to be refilled.
They start automatically within seconds of a power outage, and eliminate the need to haul a portable generator outside or run extension cords throughout your home.
They provide protection 24/7, whether you’re home or away, and they turn themselves off when utility power returns, so there is no need to monitor the unit during an outage.
