The HTS Transfer Switch has a 2 wire RS485 communication link to the generator controller.
The utility voltage is monitored by the HTS along with signal before transfer timing, time delay neutral and inphase transfer.
Switch operation is instigated by the generator controller.
All timers and voltage setpoints are programmable through GenLink Communications Software.

The Generac HTS transfer switch is a "smart switch" designed to operate in conjunction with the QT Series Generators 70 kw to 150 kw. HTS switches have a 2-wire RS485 communication link to the generator and transfer switch. Utility voltage and phasing are monitored by the HTS switch along with signal before transfer timing, time delay neutral and inphase transfer.
External LED displays on the outside of the door show the switch position, indicate when the generator is operating and whether or not the utility is available. An external, 3-position test switch allows testing in either normal or fast mode without opening the cabinet. HTS transfer switches are available in 100 to 800 amp models with a choice of NEMA 1, NEMA 3R or NEMA 12 enclosures and are rated to all classes of loads.

GenLink is a remote generator monitoring software package that connects to any generator set equipped with Generac's PowerManager control system. With GenLink, users can monitor multiple systems from a single PC. It allows both the user and the servicing Generac Dealer to connect directly with either a single genset controller or a Modular Power System (MPS) system controller via direct serial connection, phone line or Ethernet connection.
Connected PCs display continuously updated information from the generator or system controller about each generators operating condition. Input values and operational parameters can be easily viewed using point-and-click menus and status screens. Valuable information such as generator usage data, alarm history and predictive maintenance reminders are easily accessible.
If an alarm occurs, it is immediately displayed on connected remote computers, and the PowerManager control panel can be programmed to immediately send out a call to both the user's and dealer's pagers or cell phones. The dealer can use GenLink to remotely diagnose the problem and modify generator configurations and parameters as needed. The dealer can then dispatch a service truck with the necessary parts to quickly correct the problem.
